As well as being 'Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef', Cairns is also 'The City in a Garden'.Yesterday we visited the beautiful botanical gardens and this is a (very small) selection of the photos we took.
Today Jimmy James arrives and we head out on Taka. Weather is fine, the wind has dropped and it looks good for the crossing to Osprey Reef! Last time we were on Taka I missed the new year's eve-esque celebrations when K-Rudd got elected. This time, almost certainly, I'll be missing the Ashes celebrations. Even Roebuck is backing us to win!
